Customer Care
Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about orders, sizing, diamonds, payments, privacy, shipping, returns, packaging, and long-term care so you can shop with confidence.
Insurance & Long-Term Care
Support for caring for your jewelry after it arrives.
Do you offer aftercare for rings and jewelry?
Yes. We can help with maintenance such as rhodium plating, tightening stones, resizing, inspections, and general service. For some services, local care may be safer because mailing jewelry back and forth requires proper insurance. If you would like Diamond Studio to help, email contact@diamondstudio.com and include your name, order number, and the service you need.
Do you offer jewelry insurance?
No, Diamond Studio does not directly insure jewelry. We recommend arranging coverage through a third-party jewelry insurance provider or asking your home insurance provider about adding jewelry coverage.
How often should I have my ring inspected?
For jewelry worn daily, we recommend an inspection every 6 to 12 months. This is especially helpful for rings with prongs, pave details, accent stones, or delicate settings.
Can you resize my ring after purchase?
We can assist with resizing, but we strongly recommend using a trusted local jeweler when possible to avoid the risk of shipping valuable jewelry. If the ring must be sent back to us, email contact@diamondstudio.com with your name and order number. Shipping costs both ways are the buyer's responsibility.
Orders & Ring Sizes
Answers about support, custom requests, order changes, and sizing.
Can I talk to someone on the phone?
We usually communicate through live chat or email so every detail about your order is documented clearly. If a phone call is needed, email contact@diamondstudio.com with your phone number and one of our managers can arrange a call.
Can I request additional photos or videos of a diamond before purchasing?
Yes. Email contact@diamondstudio.com with a link to the item or diamond you are considering, and we can help provide additional photo or video information when available.
How can I contact your customer support team?
You can reach us through live chat when a representative is online, or email contact@diamondstudio.com. Email replies typically take 12 to 24 hours.
Can I cancel or modify my order after it has been placed?
Contact us as soon as possible at contact@diamondstudio.com and include your name and order number. We will help if the order has not moved too far into production. Please allow 12 to 24 hours for a response.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?
No. We aim to offer fair pricing to all customers, whether they are individual buyers or dealers.
What is the process for resizing a diamond ring?
A ring can be sent back to us for resizing, but we strongly advise having resizing done locally to reduce the risk of shipping loss or theft. If you need to send it back, email contact@diamondstudio.com with your name and order number. Shipping costs back and forth are the buyer's responsibility.
What if I do not know my ring size?
If you are unsure, contact us before ordering so we can help you choose the best approach. For surprise rings, we can offer guidance, but sizing is always most accurate when measured professionally.
Diamond Jewelry FAQ's
Practical education about diamonds, metals, certificates, and custom jewelry.
Are your products made with real diamonds and gemstones?
Yes. Our diamonds and gemstones are authentic, and our jewelry can include appraisal or certification documentation depending on the item.
What diamond grading system do you use?
We typically use an in-house grading approach to help reduce costs for customers, while basing the standards on GIA grading principles.
How do the Four Cs work?
The Four Cs are cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. Together, they describe how a diamond looks, how it performs, how rare it is, and how it is valued.
What are the 4Cs of diamond quality?
Cut describes brilliance and sparkle, color describes how colorless the diamond appears, clarity describes natural inclusions or blemishes, and carat describes weight. The best choice balances all four instead of focusing on only one grade.
What does cut mean for diamonds?
Cut refers to how well a diamond has been shaped and faceted. A strong cut helps light enter and return through the diamond, creating brightness, fire, and sparkle.
What diamond shapes are available?
We can make diamond jewelry in many popular shapes. If you see a setting you like but want a different diamond shape, email contact@diamondstudio.com with the setting, diamond shape, carat weight, clarity, and color you are considering.
What does eye clean mean?
Eye clean means a diamond has no obvious inclusions visible to the naked eye under normal viewing conditions. This can vary by diamond, so detailed photos, videos, or expert review are helpful before purchase.
Do white gold rings turn yellow?
White gold can look slightly warmer over time as the rhodium plating wears down. Re-plating with rhodium can restore the bright white finish, and the frequency depends on wear, body chemistry, and daily activity.
What are conflict-free diamonds?
Conflict-free diamonds are sourced and traded through channels intended to avoid funding conflict or human rights abuses. Many diamonds are supported by Kimberley Process standards or additional supplier policies.
Do you offer customization or personalization?
Yes. For custom work or engraving requests, email contact@diamondstudio.com with your name, order number if available, and the details of what you would like to customize.
What metals are used in your jewelry?
We make jewelry in real gold and platinum. We do not use nickel in our jewelry.
Are your products hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our jewelry is made without nickel, which helps make it suitable for customers with common metal sensitivities.
What is the difference between 10k, 14k, and 18k gold?
The difference is gold purity. 10k is the most durable and contains the lowest gold content, 14k offers a strong balance of durability and richness, and 18k has a higher gold content with a warmer, richer appearance.
What is the difference between a natural and lab grown diamond?
Natural diamonds form in the earth over a very long period of time. Lab grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment. Both are real diamonds with the same core chemical composition, but they differ in origin.
Can I see the diamond's certificate before purchasing?
When certification is available for a diamond, we can help provide the relevant documentation or details before purchase. Contact us with the diamond or item you are considering.
How do I choose the right diamond for my engagement ring?
Start with the look you want, then balance shape, size, cut quality, color, clarity, and budget. If you are unsure, contact us and we can help compare options.
Can I request specific diamond characteristics or specifications?
Yes. If you have a preferred shape, carat weight, color, clarity, or other specification, email us and we can help determine what is possible.
How do I ensure the diamond is genuine and not a fake?
Buy from a reputable jeweler, review available documentation, and ask for details such as appraisal or certification information. We can also help explain the diamond details before purchase.
Do you offer diamond cleaning and maintenance services?
We can help guide you on maintenance and may be able to assist with service needs. For frequent cleaning or routine maintenance, a trusted local jeweler is often the safest option.
Can you help me with diamond education and guidance?
Yes. We can help explain diamond quality, compare options, and guide you through the tradeoffs between size, appearance, grades, and budget.
How do I know if the diamond is ethically sourced?
Ask about the diamond's source, supplier standards, and available documentation. We aim to provide clear information so customers can make a comfortable decision.
Are your diamond prices competitive compared to other retailers?
We work to keep pricing competitive by offering direct, transparent value and avoiding unnecessary markups where possible.
Do you have eco-friendly or sustainable diamond options?
Lab grown diamonds are often chosen by customers who want a modern diamond option with a different origin than mined diamonds. Contact us if sustainability is an important part of your decision.
Can I request a virtual diamond consultation or viewing before buying?
Yes. Contact us with the item or diamond you are interested in and we can advise what photos, videos, or consultation support may be available.
Can I get a custom made ring or other jewelry?
Yes. Email contact@diamondstudio.com with the style, metal, diamond shape, carat weight, and any details you want included so we can review the request.

Engraving may be available on eligible designs. Contact us after ordering or before checkout so we can confirm what is possible for the specific ring.
I have my own diamond but want your setting. Can you help?
Contact us with the diamond measurements and the setting you are interested in. We can review whether the setting can be made to fit your stone.
Where do lab grown diamonds come from?
Lab grown diamonds are created in specialized facilities using technology that recreates the conditions needed for diamond growth.
Can you see a difference between a lab grown diamond and an earth mined diamond?
To the naked eye, a well-cut lab grown diamond and a natural diamond can look the same. The main difference is origin, which is usually confirmed through grading and testing.
Can another jeweler tell the difference between a lab grown diamond and an earth mined diamond?
A jeweler may need specialized testing equipment or grading documentation to confirm whether a diamond is lab grown or natural. Visual inspection alone is not always enough.
